EBWorld acquires a stake in Kode and leverages AI to optimize infrastructure lifecycle management
EBWorld strengthens its strategic position in the software market for the digital trasnformation of distributed networks and infrastructures across the territory and expands its offerings to new markets thanks to Kode’s expertise and data-driven approach.
EBWorld, a company that has been supporting businesses and institutions for over 40 years with software solutions based on geographic maps, geospatial information and 3D representations of reality, has acquired a stake in Kode, creators for more than 10 years of Data Science solutions and products (from Machine Learning to Computer vision, Big Data, and Natural Language Processing) for for industries such as manufacturing, logistics, sports analytics, and healthcare, as well as in the broader chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
This operation marks a significant strategic step for both companies, accelerating their growth and strengthening their combined offering.
The synergy with Kode, a leader in the application of the most innovative technologies for data management and analysis in industry, automation and process optimization, will allow EBWorld to expand into new areas and further consolidate its leading position as a provider of digital services and solutions for the Telco & Utility sector and major strategic infrastructure operators. EBWorld’s customers include Open Fiber, Fastweb, Infratel, Inwit, Autostrade per l’Italia, Terna, SMAT and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
Kode’s long-standing collaboration with the world of university research and beyond will also serve as a launching pad for the creation of a competence center, specializing in data science and Artificial Intelligence to support companies focused on process digitization.
EBWorld Sole Director Francesco Mete commented: “I am extremely pleased with this development. Joining Kode is strategic in order to add to our ecosystem key skills such as Artificial Intelligence and the ability to analyze and manage data. AI provides valuable support as it enables workflow optimization, assists field teams, and helps bridge the gap caused by a shortage of skilled labor. “AI helps foresee potential risks to public health or the environment; for example, consider how crucial the proper functioning of a water supply network is. The strength of this operation lies in the ability to think as a group, rather than as individual companies, enabling the opening of new markets and creating unique cross-industry synergies in the market.”.
Marco Calderisi, founder and CEO of Kode, added: “We are excited about this new phase in Kode’s journey. With EBWorld, we can finally bring the significant added value of AI to the infrastructure level, thanks to its ability to transform large volumes of data into mathematical and statistical models that enable the optimization, automation, and anticipation of critical decisions for businesses, not only strategically but also in daily operations. Furthermore, this collaboration represents a significant affirmation of the strength of our company, allowing us to continue ensuring continuity in our core markets, such as manufacturing, logistics, sports, healthcare, and the chemical-pharmaceutical sector, while continuing to invest in the evolution of our solutions to make them increasingly advanced and flexible, capable of meeting the specific needs of our clients.”
